“What would you tell younger women starting out on this journey?”
“What I’d tell younger Women?
That’s a tough one. There’s so much that goes into learning you have Breast Cancer.
For those Women who have not been diagnosed, I’d say to them to make time for mammograms. I got my mammogram in my 30s. Didn’t return for the results. Years later I returned for another mammogram and that’s when I learned I had breast cancer. And, needed a mastectomy immediately. I cannot stress how important it is not only to make an appointment for a mammogram, but to also get the results. The sooner you know, the better.
For those that have been diagnosed, I’d have to say Keep the Faith. Be positive during what will be one of the, if not the, biggest challenge in her life. Wake up remind yourself you are strong. When your hair starts to fall, remind yourself hair doesn’t make you beautiful. YOU are beauty.
It is scary. It is hard. It’s a fight worth fighting. Stay Strong.”
Thank You for sharing your Bendición of vulnerability Frances
